Another list I would suggest is a list of your financial records and computer passwords. Obviously these need to be stored in a very safe place, but if a spouse usually pays the bills and accesses the accounts...the surviving spouse may not remember account numbers and passwords, etc.
Thanks for the added insight. Im one of those people...had to give my hubby a short orientation y'know "just in case" hopefully he will remember it if he needs it.
Be Prepared for daily ideas on how you can be more prepared, more organized, more financially independent, more spiritually in tune, more emotionally secure... well, you get the idea.
We have dedicated this blog to easy, managable, daily changes you can make that will prepare your families for their future.
Now is the time, This is the place, and You are the one to make a difference.
Are You Ready?
We encourage families to have on hand this year's supply; and we say it over and over and over and repeat over and over the scripture of the Lord where He says, 'Why call ye me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?' [Luke 6:46]. How empty it is as they put their spirituality, so-called, into action and call him by his important names, but fail to do the things which he says" (Spencer W. Kimball, "Family Preparedness," Ensign, May 1976, 125).
